3.1 Inch Epic WhipWad Hand Injection Mold
The 3.1 Inch Epic WhipWad is a "hand injection" style mold we designed as part of a collaboration with Marling Baits.
The 3.1 Inch Epic WhipWad is a smaller version of the original Epic WhipWad. It features a smooth gill plate, scales down the body, anal fin, and a large curly tail with 3 "wads" in it for added action.

I purchased the 7.6, 5.4, 1.7,2.2 3.1 & 4.1 Whipwads. Thank God the wife doesn't see the bill!
These molds are works of art. They shoot flawlessly. They laminate flawlessly. I shoot them at 325 degrees & get a perfect single color and laminate. If I increase the temp to 340 degrees, I get a blending laminate that creates a unique bait in each cavity.
In the water they all swim with the action you'll need to catch fish. That tail spins, flaps and twists in multiple directions. I gave a bag loaded with several samples to a friend and he threw them in Lake Piru (Ventura County, CA) and caught several LMB.
The Epic Bait Team is amazing. Their molds are top shelf. The craftsmanship is impeccable. The design (Marling Baits) is GENESIS.
I will say the 1.7 & 2.2 are perfect panfish baits. Use the florescent colors and you will load up your bucket.
My wife caught a 12 lb LMB on June 1st 2024, using a GP bait created from an Epic Bait molds.
Great mold, shoots great, laminates easily and is just a fun mold to shoot.
First I got the original Whipwad, then the 1.7 which catches virtually everything. When the 3 new sizes came out I ordered the 2.2, which I like but it is pretty close to the 1.7. Now I just received the 3.1 and to my mind it is the perfect size for this bait--shoots perfectly every time, laminates beautifully and boy does it catch! Good job Epic guys!
