4.2 Inch Epic Darter Hand Injection Mold
The 4.2 Inch Epic Darter, "hand injection" style mold was designed as part of a collaboration with Marling Baits.
The Epic Darter is a flat tail swimbait (fluke style) with a long thin tail and tail fin. This bait performs different at different retrieval speeds and you can put a lot of action into the bait using small rod twitches. It flutters on the fall, belly rolls and swims with a slow retrieve and flaps/kicks with a fast retrieve.
The hook slot is sized to fit a 4/0 Owner Beast Hook, and with hook slots on top and bottom it is easy to rig this bait perfectly every time. These are the same hook slot inserts as the 4.1" Epic PreyBait.
The eye sockets are .25 inch in diameter. The belly hook slot plate locates easily with two tabs on the end, and the back hook slot plate is bolted into the mold to hold it in place. The back hook slot hides the hook point and makes this bait weedless.
For optimal results, this bait will work best with a medium / hard or hard blend of plastisol such as a swimbait or tube / craw blend.
