1.7 Inch Epic WhipWad Hand Injection Mold
The 1.7 Inch Epic WhipWad, "hand injection" style mold was designed as part of a collaboration with Marling Baits.
The 1.7 Inch Epic WhipWad is a micro version of the 5.6 and 7.6 Inch Epic WhipWad. It features a smooth gill plate, scales down the body, anal fin, and a large curly tail with 3 "wads" in it for added action.
This mold comes with a "divider plate" and mixing ports which allow you to shoot top/bottom laminates on all 12 cavities. For the optimal top/bottom laminates it is best to heat the mold to 110-120 degrees fahrenheit, heat a medium plastisol to 315-325 degrees fahrenheit, inject slow/steady then hold pressure for 10 seconds. You can also take the plate out of the center when shooting solid color baits.
This bait is intended to be used on a variety of small jig heads and does NOT have a hook slot.

I love chasing panfish. Especially Bluegill, Shellcracker, and Crappie. I chose this mold based on the online reviews I watched via YouTube and am blown away at the results I’m getting as a first timer. I only have a single injector so I can’t speak to the lamination abilities, but I love shooting a color for my tails, cutting them and placing back in the mold, then pouring my body. Shoot hot and hold pressure for a bit and the bond is fantastic! Can’t wait to pick up a lamination plate and second injector. Making these with my six year old daughter who got hooked on watching videos with me on YouTube. She’s my chief color designer now lol. Definitely an awesome product and lighting fast shipping.
