Hover Jig Lead Mold
This 5 cavity lead mold allows you to make 1/16oz, 3/32oz, 1/8oz, 3/16oz and 1/4oz hover jigs. The hover jig allows you to add the hook/weight into the top of a soft bait giving it more of a horizontal gliding action. This also allows hover style baits to roll when the rod is twitched.
This mold features solid cherry hardwood handles, an integrated hinge and hook hanger so you can hang your molds on the wall or place them onto a sturdy shelf.
The hinges of this mold should be oiled with a 3-in-1 oil as needed to keep the hinge moving smoothly.
Made in the USA from 6061 Aluminum and Cherry Hardwood (handles)

The mold is visually very appealing. It has all necessary information clearly engraved. The finished jigs are very nice.
I am pouring them with a Lee 20# bottom pour pot. I pour my lead at about 760 degrees, I keep a pyrometer in the pot while pouring to monitor the temperature. My issue is when pouring this mold if my timing isn’t just perfect the lead shoots out at just the right angle to clog the next cavity in line. So looks like I will be pouring them individually rather than as a set. So bit of a learning curve for me. Other than that I’m very pleased with the results.
