1.7 Inch Epic PreyBait Hand Injection Mold

  • $240.00

The 1.7 Inch Epic PreyBait, "hand injection" style mold was designed as part of a collaboration with Marling Baits.

The Epic PreyBait is a boot tail swimbait with a rear fin designed to have an intense action with realistic presentation at any speed, with a tight fast tail kick on the fall.

The baits are "headless" to seamlessly work with small ball style jig heads from 1/32oz - 1/8oz. The "ball" part of the jig head becomes the head of the bait which makes these extremely realistic.

This mold comes with a "divider plate" and mixing ports to which allow you to shoot top/bottom laminates on all 10 cavities. Using different temperatures and injection speed other unique and creative color patterns can be achieved. For the best top/bottom laminates it is best to heat the mold to 110-120 degrees fahrenheit, heat a medium plastisol to 315-325 degrees fahrenheit, inject slow/steady then hold pressure for 10 seconds. You can also take the plate out of the center to shoot solid color baits.

10 cavity mold dimensions - 4" x 5.5"

Get your temps right! 1.7 prey bait is incredible!

Excellent mold ,just be sure to experiment with temps to achieve perfection. Once that's done prepare yourself for the ultimate small minnow imitation. Pair it with the jig head of your choice and hang on! All fish eat small minnows and you will catch many different species. It really works well for crappie and bass. But trout other panfish and even turtles will bite it! Thanks again Jason and Amanda fir supplying a exceptional minnow mold!

Tiny swim

I like that it works well with jig heads, has a nice minnow look. Don’t use too hard a plastic like you might normally use for crappie, it will restrict the action

1.7" Preybait

Good bait, but it does dent a few of the baits. I knew this before purchasing, but like the mold.
