3.4in Fin Kicker Hand Injection Mold - Epic Internal System
The 3.4in Fin Kicker is part of our patent pending, Epic Internal System, which requires jigs made from lead mold LM-1 using the specified hooks.
The 3.4in Fin Kicker is an internally weighted swim bait that has a hard thumping tail kick at any speed. The body of this bait is .675" tall and .575" wide and features life-like scales and side fin. There is a flat eye socket for eyes up to 3/16" in diameter to be glued onto after the bait is made.
To use this mold, insert jigs made from the Epic Internal System lead mold LM-1 into the mold cavity. Hook the bend of the hook under the head of the small screw included in the mold then place the eye of the hook into the pocket near the nose of the bait. This screw holds the hook/lead in place while you align the remaining hooks and close the mold. Once the mold is closed the hook will precision align inside the cavities using the hook shank. Place clamps on the mold to hold it shut and inject as you would a normal soft plastic mold using a medium blend plastisol (we recommend Bait Plastics 242) at a temperature of 310-320 degrees Fahrenheit holding light pressure after injecting each cavity.

I have 9 other Epic molds and a few more from other makers and these internal molds are the toughest to get consistent baits out off. I have adjusted mold temps and lowered plastic temps so low I can’t even shoot the 4 baits in one shot because the plastic is already setting up. When they come out good they are awesome baits. I am not confident that I can use them as one of my selling baits because of the inconsistency. That hurts because it is an expensive setup for someone who is still starting off.
The mold laminates perfectly every time.
Shoots great after I figured out my temps for the plastic I use! Will be back to buy more.
This is an awesome mold system, the only thing im having issues with is the bigger jig heads cant get plastisol to go all the way around, 1/8th oz and 3/16 pour super nice. Im sure ill figure it out.
